His bloodlines alone make Destino destined for great things. He began his show career in 2008, qualifying for Nationals in one show. At the PFHA Grand National Show in Perry, Georgia in September, 2008, he was awarded: * 2008 PFHA 5th National Champion 3yo AO Pleasure Colts * 2008 PFHA 4th National Pleasure Futurity Champion (Open) In October he attended the Open Gaited Show at the Erin Fall Fair, placing first or second in almost every class and was overall champion in the All Breed Challenge with a class of 18. He was also one of the demonstration horses for the Paso Fino breed at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto, November, 2008 (pictures). Destino's sire, Mandato de La Luisa, is a stunning Colombian Classic Fino horse. He is by the phenomenal reproducer Patrimonio del Ocho(Patrimonio del Ocho's offspring dominate the show ring in Colombia, SA. In the history of the Paso Fino breed, there have been 6 World Cup Champion Classic Fino Stallions. Patrimonio sired the stallions that won 3 of these world titles) and is 2 times Amadeus (legendary multi-champion and top ten sire since 1998!). Destino's dam, Celestia del Cardenal, is a multi-National Champion Performance mare by the PFHA Horse of the Millenium, Capuchino and out of a Cosmos mare. Pictures above show Destino just before turning three years old, and already a big, beautiful horse. Pictures below were taken at 23 months old. His playmate is our then yearling, El Mango de FinaVista (see Sales Page) and they were energetic playmates. Destino is sensible, kind, gentle and people-loving. He is easy to work with and enjoys attention. His gait is natural and exciting to watch. We look forward to seeing where he goes from here! UPDATE FOR 2009: Destino will be offered for stud service for the first time in 2009 at an introductory fee of $650 with a LFG. Available for live cover or AI (collected and shipped by Iron Horse Equine). |
