CONGRATULATIONS!! Continued.... Page two! . |
Fina Vista Farm would like to thank their customers and wish them many happy trails
with their Paso Finos! We will always welcome your feedback, recent pictures
and updates on shared adventures. Pictured below are some pasos from our
farm with their new families. |

In 2002, we realized that this 1982 son of Hilachas gelding, "Leon", was just not getting ridden enough with all the young training projects around.
Hating to see a good horse go to waste, we looked for someone to loan him
to; someone that could handle his boundless brio and energy. Along came
Bob Darling of Welland, Ontario and it was a match made in heaven.
These two souls were meant for each other. Bob eventually became the proud owner
of Leon, and they shared hundreds of happy hours on the trails together. |

"Dia", is a sweet young mare who has that great and rare combination of a wonderful
temperament, just the right amount of energy, controllable brios, natural
perfection in gait, courage on the trail, style under saddle and super bloodlines.
She is by the awesome Quatro Pistonas del Paso. Quatro is 1999
Grand National Bella Forma Champion, 1999 National Champion Get of Sire, 1998-9
Top Ten Sire. Dia is now being enjoyed by new owner, Jeannie Harris
of Caledon, ON, who is sure to be have not just fun rides to look forward
to, but nice babies, too! Update (see pic right): Dia gave Jeannie, of Forest
Gait Farm, a gorgeous 2005 bay colt, Monolito de ForestGait by Mercenario. See more of Dia and Monolito at www.forestgaitfarm.com. |

"Abril" is the type of Paso Fino that is regularly sought after - calm, sweet, naturally
gaited with a long, elegant neck and fancy colour (red dun) to boot. She
has lots of character and loves to hit the trails... she is sure to be enjoyed
by her new owners, the Beking Family, near Brockville, Ontario. |
Orlando de FinaVista,"Orlando", is a 2003 bay gelding out of our mare, Maple Leaf's Pianola by our herd sire, Mercenario deLa Libertad. He has beautiful conformation and movement combined with a lovely friendly
and willing disposition. We look forward to watching him grow up
and we are so happy to have him in such a wonderful home with top-knotch rider
and trainer, Bob Darling of Fenwick, Ontario. Bob told me recently how proud
he was of his horse at a demo at a hunt seat barn recently, "I like him a lot you know"... apparently the kids were also impressed by this three year-old demo horse!
At left is Orlando as a two-year-old... see more recent pics at Bob's website:

Fiddleleaf's Picaboo is a 2000 Grulla Mare by JLM's Jaranero, (World Fino Stallion Champion, PFHA 2001 Grand National Fino Champion and 2002
Grand National Champion Bella Forma Stallion) out of Fiddleleaf's Princesa ,( Fino Mare and daughter of Plebeyo from a Cosmos Mare). *"Picaboo" has been trained and shown in performance by Jaime Suarez. She has tremendous brio, quickness and a very loving disposition. We know she will be thrilled at her new home in North Carolina with Lori and Greg of Echo West Farm. 2006 Update: Picaboo gave her new owners a beautiful black colt by Mandato de La Luisa. |

In 2004, when Jeannie Harris (Forest Gait Farm) was looking for another Paso Mare
to add to her herd, she found what she was looking for at Fina Vista Farm in a
young mare named Diamante, 'Dia' (see above). She enjoys Dia so much that when we decided to offer her mother, Captiva (pictured left) for sale... Jeannie bought her as well. Captiva is a beautifully gaited mare with a loving and playful temperament. We have
thoroughly enjoyed our time owning her and know her new person will enjoy her
as well. Thank you very much Jeannie for appreciating these lovely mares
and giving them such a good home. We see many happy trails in the future
for you and Captiva... and we can't wait to see her foal by Mercenario this summer! Update: see Forest Gait Farm's two Mercenario foals (Monolito and Catalina) at: www.forestgaitfarm.com. |

Chavez de FinaVista is a lovely, tall and elegant colt who was bred to largo. He should grow to
be at least 15hh tall. He is very naturally gaited with a big, easy stride.
Chavez is a grandson of 7-time Grand National Bella Forma Champion,
El Chino de El Batey. Chavez will make an excellent pleasure/trail horse and has a very warm and people-friendly
attitude. We are very happy to see him go to a great new home with longtime
horse-person, but first time Paso Fino owner, Richard H., of Auburn, Ontario.

Elegante de El Don, 'Dante', is an absolutely drop-dead gorgeous horse. Nobody who sees him fails to comment
on his great looks. He combines tremendous presence, a perfect headset
on a soft rein, flashy gait, beautiful buckskin dun colour and a super-sweet
temperament. Dante is a true pleasure to own, ride and just be around... a very special horse. To top
it off, he is a direct son of the legendary Capuchino. Capuchino has been
the number one stallion in the Paso Fino breed for many years and was selected
by the PFHA as their Horse of the Millenium. Though we are sad to see him leave,
Dante has a very exciting future ahead. He has been purchased by Wendy
Jeffery, of Paso Finos UK, who has been working very hard to develop the Paso Fino breed in England, and is
now spreading her efforts to Spain. We know Dante will be a terrific ambassador for his breed in Europe and wish
him and his new family all the best! |

Lucida de FinaVista is a very pretty daughter of our herd sire, Mercenario deLa Libertad and a Puerto Rican mare named Kitani Mimbrera (owned by Katharine Creery).
"Lucy" has grown up to be as lovely to ride as she is to be around. She posesses
a gentle, loving and curious demeanour and is a soft, receptive, and very responsive
riding horse that is a joy to ride. She has an elegant natural headset
and loves to be ridden or paid attention to in any way. We are very
pleased to see her go to a great new home with Juan A. of King, Ontario. |

Fantasma de FinaVista is one of the prettiest fillies we have ever had grace our pastures. Born
a light champagne dun colour, she will likely shed out to a grulla, like her mom,
Sorpresa. "Fanny" has a lovely, sweet temperament, lots of flash and style and a natural gait (see
her gaiting in the picture at left). She is a hard one to part with for
sure, due to her looks and her kind nature. She will be making her new home
south of the border. Congratulations to new owner, Lynne G., of Buffalo, New
York. |
